Lonesome

Living remote may be a challange for some...

There's a silhouette high above

There's a silhouette high above

SOMEWHERE WEST OF LONESOME

Somewhere west of Lonesome, way out back of Beyond,
There’s a silhouette high above you, standing all alone.
As the sun slips behind me and darkness descends
I smile………. For the night and I are one!

When the illusion of life, fades into night
When the human noise subsides
I hear the message of the ages… I am set free
Like the stars, the breeze and the tides

Privileged in my solitude, alone in contemplation
From this vantage, I see the animals as they come out of hiding
The sound of silence comforts me, the vision is enticing
All come foraging, together, safely abiding

I know the scents, the sounds, the sights
Of all the ageless wonders
The dampening dew, the chill of the air
Engaging the world like thunder

Somewhere west of Lonesome, Way out back of Beyond
I’m the silhouette high above you, standing all alone
As the sun slips behind me and darkness descends
I smile…………For the night and I are one.
